Don’t Fail to Ask Him

“Now they came to Jericho. As He went out of Jericho with His disciples and a great multitude, blind Bartimaeus, the son of Timaeus, sat by the road begging. And when he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to cry out and say, ‘Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!’” (Mark 10:46-47, NKJV Bible)

We read here that Bartimaeus was one who begged for sustenance, which was normal during that era. If that was what he did, possibly on a regular and daily basis, what should hinder him from begging for one of the most important things of his life? What should hinder him from making sure that the Lord heard him? Likewise, what should hinder you and I from passionately pursuing the Lord? Continue reading
