“The LORD hath appeared of old unto me, [saying], Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore with loving-kindness have I drawn thee.” (Jeremiah 31:3)
I thank the Lord for a love that is not short-termed, short-sighted or short-suffering. It is an everlasting love. When someone loves you forever, they have no plans of getting rid of you. They’re looking long-term into your future and considering your expected end. This kind of love takes into consideration all of my shortcomings, and the pitfalls of my heart, and yet, still see’s victory. In essence, God is not the least bit concerned that we’re not all put together now because He knows our beginning from our end; and what a glorious end it will be.
