Show Me The Bread

“And thou shalt set upon the table showbread before me always” (Exodus 25:30)

Many of you have heard the expression “show me the money”. While money is often referred to as “bread”, I can honestly say that I too am seeking bread.  So please show me the bread!  As I ponder the whole notion of the showbread, I am amazed when I think of the fact that God told the people of Israel to sacrifice and put twelve loaves of bread in the Holy Place of the Tabernacle. Stir Up Your Gifts

“Wherefore I put thee in remembrance that thou stir up the gift of God, which is in thee by the putting on of my hands.”
(2 Timothy 1:6)

Paul is saying, “Don’t you remember, Timothy, that the Lord used me to impart a gift into you? If so, then, what’s wrong? Why aren’t you using it, or worse – why have you stopped using it?”
