O LORD Remember Now

I beseech thee, O LORD, remember now how I have walked before thee in truth and with a perfect heart, and have done that which is good in thy sight. And Hezekiah wept sore. (2 Kings 20:3)

Upon hearing the word of God to prepare his house to die, Hezekiah quickly made a position. He began to put God in remembrance of some of the good things that he had done, some of the faithful duties that he had performed. I envision Hezekiah saying O LORD, remember now God, I was not always messed up. Don’t you remember when I tore down the altars of Baal, and made the people began to worship you again. Risky Business

Mark 5:39-40

As Jesus arrives to Jairus’ house, He finds a big fuss and people crying. He tells them why make this commotion and weep, the child is not dead, but sleeping. And they laughed Him to scorn. That’s like telling us today to take a short trip to another town, and although you will have to stay over at possibly a complete stranger’s house, don’t take any extra changes of clothes, don’t pack a light lunch for the road, please don’t take with you any money, and ladies definitely no purse or bag. You can’t even take with you your staff or walking stick. In essence, don’t take anything that can serve as a crutch for you when you really need to lean on something, for example, your cell phone, which many I know view as their lifeline to the world.
