Risky Business

Mark 5:39-40

As Jesus arrives to Jairus’ house, He finds a big fuss and people crying. He tells them why make this commotion and weep, the child is not dead, but sleeping. And they laughed Him to scorn. In essence, they ridiculed Him. Friends, when you start talking like this, telling people you believe that your God can heal cancer, diabetes and HIV aids, that your God can deliver from sexual perversion and even raise the dead, you will be ridiculed. Can you stand being talked about because of your radical faith? Can you stand being ostracized because of your peculiar thinking? Can you stand being laughed at, scorned and mocked because you are helping your enemy, praying for your abusers, or because you believe in a supernatural God for deliverance? Can you stand being not liked or accepted by others because you believe like God, you stand for the things of God, you hate what God hates, you despise what God despises and you reject what God rejects? If you answered yes to any of these questions, be certain of this one thing, you will be mocked. You will be treated in the same manner as they did Jesus. This is not a job for the faint of heart, neither the fearful or spaghetti back Christian. Faith for Miracles is serious and risky business.

In Christ,

Pastor Aldridge
